True story: Yielding to temptation is not wise

I almost cheated on my spouse .

I walked away from the man I almost slept with because I realised how much I truly loved my spouse.

I made the mistake of telling my spouse about this “ almost ” incident .

Now, he refuses to talk to me and he wants to separate.

He said he couldn ’ t look at me the same way anymore .

I didn’ t even follow through with cheating on him yet I ’m being punished as if I did! How do I get my spouse to forgive me?

And truthfully, I have had no further contact with the “ other man ” since the incident .

As for my spouse, he is very hurt and I am doing my best to let him have a re-think.

I understand why he is upset and I know he has every right to be angry with me.

I love him so much and the incident is one I will never repeat. It wasn’t worth it.

My family is more important than a one night stand and I would give anything, do anything , to erase the hurt I ’ve caused my spouse.
