I didn’t declare Ifeanyi Ubah winner under duress – Returning officer

The Retuning Officer of Anambra South Senatorial district, Prof. M.N. Umenweke, has denied reports in some national newspapers that he declared Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah winner under duress.

According to him, no knife or gun was pointed at him before he announced the results.

He also reaffirmed in a statement that Ifeanyi Ubah who is the candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP) won the election and was declared.
